1. First start Simcenter Testlab Neo Process Designer (Start -> Simcenter Testlab -> Testlab Neo General Processing -> Process Designer).
2. Go to the “Process” task if the Startup Screen option is ON.
3. Under “File -> Add-ins”, load the “Signature analysis” add-in to be able to calculate spectral maps and orders.
4. Go to “File -> Open -> Browse” and select the Testlab project file. Say “No” to saving changes to Project1 (the default empty project).
5. In the Data Selection area, drill into the current Testlab project and find the run of interest. Right click on the run, and select “Add to input basket”.
6. In the Home tab, at the top of the screen, click on the DOFID vs Function to enter the pivot table view.
7. Display the tachometer rpm by highlighting appropriate cell in the pivot table.
8. In the tachometer display hold down both the CTRL and ALT key and drag the mouse over each runup area to be processed.
9. Highlight the “Input” method in the Process area, and say “Yes” to the replace previous segments question.
10. While the “Input” method is still selected, click on the Segments button labelled “…” in the Properties pane. The segment list has three rows, one for each selected area from the display.
11. In the Run Suffix area, add an unique extension name for each segment to be appended on the processed data. Press OK when done.
12. Add the “Spectral Map” and “Order sections” methods to the Process area from the pulldown menu. Make sure they are connected as shown.
13. Highlight the “Spectral Map” method. In the Properties Pane, set the Tracking strategy to “Tracked on Channel”. Be sure to select the tachometer channel. Set the minimum and maximum rpm to be tracked as needed.
14. Highlight the “Order Sections” method. In the “Properties Pane” select the tracking channel. Enter orders of interest with a “;” as a separator. For example, “2;4;6” tracks the second, fourth, and sixth order.
15. Press the “Run” button in the action bar on the lower left. The data will process.
16. View results by clicking on the “Active Analysis” in the navigation tree, and selecting from the pivot table. If they are satisfactory, press the “Accept” button.
